Description
Capturing the refined charm of traditional Malaysian architecture, this painting depicts a stately building with intricately detailed balconies and tiered roofs, bathed in soft, muted tones. Figures move gently around the house, suggesting the quiet rhythm of daily life. Framing trees and delicate washes of color create a serene, almost meditative atmosphere, evoking a tranquil moment in a familiar setting.
Lee Weng Fatt graduated with a Diploma in Art & Design from the Kuala Lumpur College of Art in 1989, initially working with watercolours before transitioning to oil painting in 1995. He has held several solo exhibitions in Kuala Lumpur, including his first solo at the Art Salon in 1994 titled "Hang Kai / Jalan-Jalan," as well as exhibitions at venues like the Joshua Fine Art Gallery in 2000, the Art House in 2004, and TJ Fine Art in 2010.
