Description
"Merapi Series No. III" is a powerful and evocative work that captures the raw energy and dynamic forces of nature. Dominated by a fiery palette of reds, pinks, and blacks, the painting creates a sense of intense energy and movement. The artist employs broad, sweeping strokes and gestural marks to convey the power and dynamism of the natural world.
Suzlee Ibrahim has become a prominent figure since his 1998 solo debut, "Movement." He's showcased his work in over 40 solo exhibitions worldwide. A dedicated educator, he currently leads the fine arts faculty at Aswara after 16 years at the Mara Institute of Technology. His achievements include numerous awards and the Malaysian record for his massive painting, "The Poem" (2010-2015) measuring 5 feet x 60 feet.
