Description
"Two Women" presents a tranquil scene of two stylized female figures. Rendered in soft, muted tones, the rounded forms and subtle textures evoke a sense of calm harmony and intimate connection between them.
Eng Tay, born in 1947 in Kedah, Malaysia, moved to New York City in 1968 to study graphic design, painting, and printmaking at the Arts Student League, School of Visual Arts, and Pratt Graphics Center. He worked in the graphic arts field until 1978, when he embarked on painting trips to South America and Indonesia, which inspired his artistic subject matter.
