Description
In "Squatter Distorted Grid", Norlisham Selamat reimagines urban vernacular through a Cubist lens. The painting deconstructs architectural forms, such as rooftops, walls, and windows, into fragmented planes and angular intersections, evoking the layered complexity of informal settlements. Muted tones of ochre, grey, and black suggest a lived-in environment where structure and chaos coexist. This work reflects Norlisham's ongoing exploration of spatial dynamics and the resilience embedded in everyday urban life.
