Description
"Pucak Alam III" is a visceral, gestural canvas that reflects Suzlee Ibrahim’s pursuit of expressive heights. Its dynamic, multi-layered surface conveys the raw energy of his physical process, where spontaneous and controlled strokes converge in complex interplay. Evoking the sense of a summit or natural peak, the result is a bold abstract expressionist statement, channeling internal landscapes into a form that is both deeply personal and universally resonant.
Suzlee Ibrahim has become a prominent figure since his 1998 solo debut, "Movement." He's showcased his work in over 40 solo exhibitions worldwide. A dedicated educator, he currently leads the fine arts faculty at Aswara after 16 years at the Mara Institute of Technology. His achievements include numerous awards and the Malaysian record for his massive painting, "The Poem" (2010-2015) measuring 5 feet x 60 feet.
